The Al Shaqab Endurance team is currently participating in several endurance competitions in Europe in order to prepare and qualify for the FEI World Endurance Championship to be held in Slovakia in September 2016
Qatar is proud to celebrate the graduation of the first group of students to receive equestrian training at Al Shaqab based on a new path and Arabian values. The event was honored by the presence of Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani & Sheikh Thani Bin Hamad Al Thani & Sheikh Al Qa’qa Bin Hamad Al Thani.
AL SHAQAB’s favourite Faleh Nasser Bughenaim, wearing No 17, won the 120 kilometer race of CHI AL SHAQAB 2015. Riding Halte A Tout, he finished first in 4hrs 56min 19sec on an average speed of 24.30 km per hour.
With only three days to go before the start of the 120 kilometer Endurance race at CHI AL SHAQAB 2015 on Saturday the list of competitors is now 58 horse and rider combinations. Nawras Akef Yousef Al Akhras has been added. He is competing for Qatar with Mansoor.
The entry list for endurance at CHI AL SHAQAB 2015 is closed with 57 riders declaring their plans to start the 120-kilometer ride at Mesaid racetrack on Saturday. Competitors from ten countries are aiming for the 200,000 Euro prize money.
Doha, Qatar – 14 September 2014 AL SHAQAB is the name of the moment in endurance world after three weekends in a row wins. Since August AL SHAQAB didn’t give a chance for other team to reach the podium and confirmed a successfully season in Europe.
Al Shaqab Endurance Team marked the weekend with a memorable history with two winners in Monpazier, France. From the applause of hundreds people Faleh Bughenaim snatched champion in the CEI** 120 Km and Nasser Al Mohannadi in CEI* 90 Km.
One day, 160 Km, 5 loops, 166 riders to start, 128 combinations eliminated and just 38 in the finish line! This was the balance for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2014 that happened in Normandy, France.
