



(Doha, Qatar - February 14, 2010) Al Shaqab, member of Qatar Foundation, captured the title of Reserve Champion Junior Female at the Abu Dhabi International Arabian Horse Championship last week. The Championship is a highly competitive horse show with contenders from the most esteemed stables from across the Middle East, which awards significant amounts of prize money.
Shamah Al Shaqab, proudly bred and owned by Al Shaqab, won her three-year-old filly class and then was named Reserve Champion of all the top placing fillies at the show. Shamah Al Shaqab is by Al Shaqab's prized World Champion stallion Marwan Al Shaqab.
Al Shaqab also had two colts place in the top five in their respective classes. Faraa Al Shaqab and Amir Al Shaqab placed fourth and fifth in the three-year-old colt class.
For their next horse show competition, Al Shaqab returns home for the Qatar International Arabian Horse Show on February 21-23, 2010. The show will be held at the Qatar Equestrian Federation in Doha, Qatar.
