Marwan Al Shaqab Leading Sire of Scottsdale Halter Champions

All Senior Title Winners Were Sired by Al Shaqab Stallions


Marwan Al Shaqab and his sire Gazal Al Shaqab dominated the 2010 Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show in Scottsdale, Ariz., USA as sires of champions.  In a remarkable achievement, every Senior Arabian Breeding halter champion and reserve champion were sired by Marwan Al Shaqab or Gazal Al Shaqab, owned by Al Shaqab, member of the Qatar Foundation.  In addition, Marwan Al Shaqab was named the Leading Sire of Arabian Breeding Halter.

Abha Palma, daughter of Marwan Al Shaqab, was named Senior Champion Mare and the ultimate title of Supreme Halter Champion of the 2010 show.  Abha Palma is owned by Al Mohamadia Stud Farm, KSA.  Reserve Champion Mare was awarded to Pinga, who is sired by Gazal Al Shaqab and leased by Frank & Frank Partners, USA. Pinga was bred and is owned by Janow Podlaski State Stud Farm, Poland.

Marwan Al Shaqab offspring swept the stallion titles with EKS Bey Al Gazal and OFW Magic Wan.  Champion Stallion EKS Bey Al Gazal, a double Gazal Al Shaqab grandson, is owned by Mystica Arabians, AUS. Reserve Champion Stallion OFW Magic Wan is owned by Harold and Dolly Orr, USA.

At the same time, across the globe in Doha, Qatar, Marwan Al Shaqab was named Leading Sire of the Qatar International Arabian Show with his sons Baanderos, owned by Al Khalediah Farm K.S.A., being named Champion Stallion and Kahil Al Shaqab, Champion Colt.

His Highness, The Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani founded Al Shaqab in 1992 to preserve and further develop the Arabian horse in Qatar.Al Shaqab is led by H E Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and encompasses a Breeding & Show division, Riding Academy and Endurance Team. In 2004, Al Shaqab proudly became a member of Qatar Foundation. Al Shaqab's mission is to promote the highest standards in the breeding and showing of Arabian horses and serve as a community resource with innovative, educational and competitive opportunities in all of the equestrian arts.
