Our Mission
Al Shaqab represents a unique and unparalleled concept in the equine world. A member of the Qatar Foundation, the mission of Al Shaqab is to promote the highest standards in the breeding and showing of Arabian horses, as well as provide innovative educational and competitive opportunities in all of the equestrian arts.
Our Facility
Encompassing 800,000 square meters, Al Shaqab features a dynamic architectural design highlighted by a central horseshoe shape. Distinctive elements, such as a central water feature, significant "green" areas, and the landmark main arena, create a welcoming environment for both human and equine visitors. Among its many state-of-the art amenities are multiple performance arenas designed for international show jumping and dressage competitions, a full-service riding academy and equestrian club, the region's most advanced veterinary clinic, hospital and research facilities, an endurance training center, and a breeding center for Al Shaqab's world-renowned Arabian breeding program.
The Al Shaqab facilities have been carefully designed to ensure maximum safety and hygiene standards. While utilizing the finest of modern materials, the project incorporates traditional desert methods of ventilation and shelter combined with comfortable air-conditioning for stables and arenas.
