In equestrian sports, CHI (“Concours Hippique International” or Equestrian International Competition) is a title of nobility, something rare that does not come easy. Organizers of major equestrian events covet to have this title and riders participating at CHI events compete fiercely to win. CHI AL SHAQAB is the first and only equestrian competition of its kind in the Middle East and Asia to be sanctioned by the FEI (Fédération Equestre Internationale or International Equestrian Federation) and one of only 4 CHI equestrian events in the world.
CHI AL SHAQAB 2019, will feature three Olympic equestrian disciplines over a period of three days. This includes Show Jumping, Dressage and Para Dressage. CHI AL SHAQAB 2019 will also include a festival area with a food tent, coffee corners; an entertainment zone with interactive videos and virtual reality games; F1 and horse simulators; and pony rides.
A range of traditional cultural activities are also planned for children and adults alike, featuring henna painters, falcon handlers, and delicious traditional food to enable international visitors to experience Qatari hospitality.
