Endurance field now 58 strong
With only three days to go before the start of the 120 kilometer Endurance race at CHI AL SHAQAB 2015 on Saturday the list of competitors is now 58 horse and rider combinations. Nawras Akef Yousef Al Akhras has been added. He is competing for Qatar with Mansoor.

Glory for hosts at CSI3* jumping against the clock
Qatar celebrated its first CHI AL SHAQAB 2015 victory after only two jumping events, with Abdul Rahman Mohammed M Al Marri topping the CSI3* against the clock competition with the bar in all obstacles set at 1m45cm.

Vaulting seen by a judge’s eyes
Five minutes with Helma Schwarzmann Don’t blink! If you bat an eyelid you might miss the most spectacular elements of the vaulting competition at CHI AL SHAQAB 2015. Within just 60 seconds the individual athletes display their artistic talent in their freestyle of “gymnastics on horseback”. The six members within the participating teams have four minutes for their fireworks of spectacular movements performed in canter on a circling horse. Spectators are always left in awe watching this. But how do the judges actually decide who will be the winner?

Nicolas Andreani entered with a bang
With every possible title in vaulting behind his belt he is one of the top assets in the star studded entry list for vaulting at CHI AL SHAQAB 2015. Nicholas Andreani from France has decided not to finish his impressive career without a visit to Doha. And then, his entry began with a bump on his forehead.

New Technical programme first tested at CHI AL SHAQAB 2015
Two new elements premiering this season in the Technical Programme of Vaulting were the big challenge for the individual vaulters competing at CHI AL SHAQAB 2015. The “Needle” and the “Stand – turning backwards” are calling for extreme balance and gymnastic perfection and World’s No.1, Joanne Eccles from Great Britain and German Thomas Brüsewitz dealt best with that, now leading their individual classes before going into the final freestyle on Wednesday.

Top level jumpers getting ready for CHI AL SHAQAB 2015
They looked quite relaxed on Tuesday, the world class horses are getting ready for the 5-star jumping competition of CHI AL SHAQAB 2015 on Wednesday. The ground jury and the official veterinarian inspected 86 top jumpers aside the large outdoor arena. All horses were found fit to compete. All had settled well after the travel by air or land transport.
