Day 1 of the 2023 season kicked off in spectacular style with 53 riders from 19 different countries taking to Al Shaqab’s incredible Longines Arena. Competition is fierce and spectators were treated to a thrilling display of sport and horsemanship throughout the day.

The Commercial Bank CHI AL SHAQAB Presented by Longines: Day 2 saw a Dutch victory in the Dressage, French and German wins in the 5-star Jumping, and a great performance by a 20-year-old horse
The Netherlands’ Dinja van Liere won the CDI 5* Dressage Grand Prix, riding her 11-year-old horse, Hartsuijker, on the second of three days of world-class equestrian sport at the Commercial Bank CHI AL SHAQAB Presented by Longines 2023.

The Commercial Bank CHI AL SHAQAB Presented by Longines: Day 1 sees a record-breaking Para-Dressage performance, two wins for local riders, and the first of the 5-star Jumping winners.
The USA’s Kate Shoemaker, riding Quiana, was the overall winner of the Para-Dressage Grand Prix CPEDI3* on the first of three days of world-class equestrian sport at the Commercial Bank CHI AL SHAQAB Presented by Longines 2023. The American rider’s final score was a remarkable 76.250% – her personal best on this horse in the Grand Prix A test.
