Al Shaqab to host spectacular LGCT and GCL 2021 season opener

Doha, Dec xx – Al Shaqab, a member of Qatar Foundation, will once again host the opening competition of the 2021 Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT) and Global Champions League (GCL) team series.

One of Al Shaqab’s treasured World Champion stallions, Hariry Al Shaqab, has returned home to Qatar after spending time in the United States.

The Commercial Bank CHI AL SHAQAB Presented by Longines: Day 3 sees 2022 Jumping Grand Prix winner Marcus Ehning return to repeat the feat – while Patrik Kittel takes the Dressage title.

It was a spectacularly successful day for the German showjumping star, Marcus Ehning, and his horse Stargold, as they returned to the scene of their win in this event last year – and won again! The jump off for the title, contested by seven riders, provided a thrilling conclusion to this third and final day of world-class equestrian sport at the 2023 Commercial Bank CHI AL SHAQAB Presented by Longines, in the magnificent Longines Arena at Al Shaqab.

Doha Tour 2025

The Organising Committee for the Doha International Tour Equestrian Championships - Qatar 2025 announced the completion of all the competitions at Al Shaqab, at the Longines Arena, which will be launched with the first round to be held from January 9 to 11.
