    His Highness The Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani established Al Shaqab in 1992 to enjoy his passion for Arabian horses, to honor the courageous war horses ridden by victorious Qatari knights of the past, and to assure the Arabian horse would continue to play a leading role in the cultural heritage of the Qatari people.

World Champion Wadee part of trio of stallions returning to Al Shaqab

Al Shaqab stallions Wadee Al Shaqab, Farhoud Al Shaqab, and Hadidy Al Shaqab have returned to Qatar, after spending time in Italy. 

 

Their return follows the recent arrival in Doha of Hariry Al Shaqab, a World Champion stallion, after a stint in the United States.

 

Wadee was crowned World Champion at the prestigious Salon Du Cheval De Paris in 2017

 

Sheikh Hamad Bin Ali Al Thani, Manager, Al Shaqab Breeding & Show Department said Al Shaqab is delighted to welcome the three stallions back to Doha, so soon after Hariry’s arrival.

 

"We take great pride in having our majestic stallions on show to Arabian horse enthusiasts around the world, highlighting our efforts to preserve and perpetuate the Arabian horse breed as part of Qatar’s equestrian heritage. And, of course, we are very happy to have them back with us.”
